Shared Dashboards

The Shared Dashboards feature allows you to effortlessly share important dashboard data with external clients or other teams through secure, unique links. With this tool, you can tailor access by selecting specific profiles for each dashboard, adding a description to provide context, and setting an expiration date to ensure the link remains secure. This feature is especially useful for teams that need to provide real-time insights to clients or other teams without granting full platform access, streamlining collaboration and improving transparency. Additionally, the ability to create multiple share links at once makes managing different client views simple and efficient.

How to Create a Shared Dashboard Link

Login to Dashna and on the right side menu select Reports > Shared Dashboards.
In the top right corner select Create Share Link
A list of profiles associated with the dashboard will appear. Select the profiles that you want the recipient of this link to access.
If you wish to create multiple links at the same time for each profile selected select the checkbox marked Create individual share link for each profile selected
You can specify an expiration date for the share link. Once the date passes, the link will no longer grant access. Use the calendar picker to select the expiration date or manually enter it.
You can enter a description for the shared dashboard, which will help provide context or explain the purpose of the data.
Click Create Link and your link(s) will be created

Sending a Dashboard Link

You can verify the link is working by clicking the eye to the right of the share link, which will open the link in another tab.
You can then copy the link to your clipboard by clicking on the link icon .

Deleting a Dashboard Link

if you no longer want the link to be active you can set the date for the link to expire, after which the link will stop working. This will allow you to keep a history of all the links created as well as reactivate a link instead of regenerating and sending a new one.

You can also delete the link completely if you want to remove access immediately and have no plans of using that link again.

FAQ

1. Can I edit a share link in Shared Dashboards after it's created?
Yes, share links can be edited after creation. just click on the field you wish to edit in the table and a modal will pop up asking for the new details.

2. What happens when the share link expires?
Once the expiration date is reached, the link will automatically become inactive, and clients will no longer be able to access the dashboard.

3. How do I revoke access to a shared dashboard before the expiration date?
You can revoke a share link by returning to the Shared Dashboards page and deleting the link.

4. Is it possible to create one share link for multiple profiles?
Yes, you can create one share link that gives access to all the profiles selected, or you can choose to generate separate links for each profile using the "Create multiple share links" option.
