Adding/Updating CoGS

Introduction

Keeping your Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS) up to date is essential for accurate financial tracking and profitability analysis. This guide will help you navigate the CoGS page in Dashna to add or update the cost of your items, either individually or in bulk.


Updating CoGS Individually

Step 1: Navigate to the CoGS Page

  • Log in to your Dashna account and select CoGS from the lefthand menu
  • You'll see a list of all your Walmart items. Initially, each item's CoGS is set to $0.

Step 2: Select an Item to Update

  • Find the item you want to update and click on the three dots (⋮) next to the item.
  • Choose Add CoGS from the options.

  • Enter the amount for the item's CoGS in the popup modal and click Add to update.

Step 3: Repeat as Needed

  • Repeat Steps 2 for any additional items.

Bulk Updating CoGS

Step 1: Export CoGS Data

  • On the CoGS page, click the Export CoGS button located at the top right corner.
  • This will download a file containing your items and their current CoGS.

Step 2: Edit the Exported File

  • Open the exported file in Excel or any spreadsheet software.
  • Update the CoGS amounts for your items.
  • Save the file after making changes.

Step 3: Reupload the Updated File

  • Return to the CoGS page in Dashna.
  • Click on the Import CoGS button (to the right of the Export button).
  • Select the updated file from your computer.
  • Click Open to apply the changes.
